Payment & Refund Policy

Effective date: 1 June 2026

This policy sets out how Arté Works structures payments for project engagements and the conditions under which refunds apply. All engagements are governed by a signed proposal that incorporates these terms.

1. Payment Structure

Project fees are collected across milestones tied to delivery phases. The standard milestone schedule is:

Milestone 1: On project commencement (advance, on signing)40%
Milestone 2: On completion of core modules30%
Milestone 3: On final delivery, deployment & handover30%

Specific milestone amounts are stated in the project proposal. Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue.

2. Currency & Taxes

All amounts are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Currency conversion, bank charges and remittance fees are borne by the client.

3. Work in Progress

Work on a subsequent phase may be paused until the payment due for the completed phase is received. Arté Works is not responsible for delays arising from late payment.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All project engagements represent a committed undertaking. Once the project has started, upon receipt of the advance payment or written confirmation, the following applies:

  • No refunds. All amounts already paid are non-refundable. They cover work that has been committed to and performed.
  • No stoppage. The project cannot be stopped, paused or cancelled at will once commenced.
  • Client-initiated cancellation. If a client cancels after commencement, Arté Works accepts no responsibility for the consequences of that cancellation, and no refund of any amount paid will be made.

5. Defect Corrections

Defects within the delivered scope are corrected free of charge during the complimentary support period stated in the project proposal (typically 3 months from go-live). This covers bug corrections and minor UI adjustments, not new features or out-of-scope work. Defect correction is not a refund mechanism; it is a quality assurance commitment.

6. New Features & Additional Work

Any feature, module, document type or report not in the delivered scope is treated as new work. New work is quoted and priced separately, either as a fixed fee or at an agreed rate, before development begins. It is not covered by the original project fee.

7. Third-Party & Infrastructure Costs

The project fee covers Arté Works' development effort only. Fees for third-party libraries, paid APIs, hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, email/SMS gateways and server infrastructure are excluded and are arranged and paid directly by the client. Arté Works will advise on what is required and assist with setup.

8. Ongoing Support Rate

After the complimentary support period, ongoing support for corrections, defects and minor UI changes is billed at the hourly rate stated in the project proposal. Hours are logged and reported transparently.
